Experiental education for school classes

Experiental education is activity-oriented learning by experiencing and learning with your ‘head, heart and hands’. Straying from the usual classroom environment we offer a program especially designed for school classes and facilities of child and youth welfare.
We provide challenging situations that serve as valuable chances to grow as an individual as well as socially within the group.

Goals of our experiental education activities

Strengthening the sense of community in the class

Common experiences and adventures bond. Knowing that you can trust yourself and others has positive effects on the learning process. In a positive social structure conflicts can be assessed and worked on in a constructive manner.

Teaching social skills
  • Communication and cooperation are the keys to social behavior and acting. We give you the oportunity to experience the value of team work.
  • For successful cooperation rules should be developed and obeyed together and appreciation and consideration are important to reach the agreed goal.
  • Solution-oriented thinking and creativity pave the road to success.
Self-development
  • We offer oportunities to test and go past physical and mental limits. This generates strength and self confidence ‘I never thought I could make it! It feels great!
  • Spontaneity and one’s own initiative play a significant role during the activities.
  • Using specific forms of reflexion we cultivate the skills of self perception and social perception in the group as well as accepting praise and criticism from each other.
Experiencing nature

"Respect everything alive and its growth" With this motto we want to teach ecological awarenes toward the nature that surrounds us.

Having fun

We will be happy to create an individual program at the Altenhof High Ropes Course, at your school, at your class trip or your field trip.
